Choosing a Tiller Cultivator - A quality tiller cultivator is a must when it come to working the soil and maintaining a garden. But what type of garden tiller cultivator do you choose? It is important to have a little bit of background knowledge before you decide which small tiller and/or cultivator is right for your yard.
What is a Tiller Cultivator?
A tiller cultivator is one of many names for a garden tool that helps you work the soil and prepare it for planting. You can also use a tiller cultivator for weeding during the growing season. Power Cultivator
Similar to a garden tiller, a power cultivator will allow you to work in smaller areas than even a small garden tiller. The nice thing about these little machines is they will allow you to work very close to plants without harm. Unlike small tillers, the power tiller cultivator has small blades that rotate horizontally instead of vertically. Picture it as similar to a power drill drilling a hole. 
Manual Tiller Cultivator
There are many different models of manual tiller cultivator on the market. Many, like the Garden Weasel, have wheel type blades that help you to quickly and efficiently aerate the soil, break up clumps and remove small weeds. Like a mini tiller, the spiked wheels will penetrate the soil and allow water 
and other nutrients to reach the roots of your plants.
Another effective manual tiller cultivator is the claw type cultivator. This type of tiller cultivator is actually my favorite garden tool. I have the long handled variety of this tool, but it is the one I reach for every time I work in the yard. These tools are great for working around plants and to break up the soil to plant flowers and vegetables.
A tiller cultivator is one of those must have garden tools. Even if you have a power cultivator or small garden tiller, you will want a manual tiller cultivator as well. They are very handy in the yard and you can quickly grab it whenever you need to weed. You will wonder how you ever gardened without one!
